If your CSV import stops partway through or only uploads a few pieces of content, it’s likely caused by an empty Caption field in your file.
This article explains why that happens and how to fix it before re-importing your content.
Issue Summary
When importing content into Cloud Campaign using a CSV file, the import process may fail or stop unexpectedly if the row contains blank fields, particularly an empty Caption, Link, or Image.
You might notice that:
Only the first few content items import successfully
The import process stops at the row where the Caption is missing
Steps to Reproduce the Issue
You can recreate this behavior by:
Creating a CSV file for import into Cloud Campaign
Leaving the Caption, Link, and Image fields empty
Importing the CSV into Cloud Campaign
Once the import begins, it will stop on the first row with an empty Caption.
Why This Happens
During import, Cloud Campaign requires at least one valid content field (Caption, Image, or Link) for each row.
If all three fields are empty, the system interprets the line as invalid content, which interrupts the import process.
Workaround: How to Fix the CSV Import
To successfully import your content:
Make sure each row in your CSV includes at least one of the following:
A Caption
An Image
A Link
Re-save your CSV file after updating any blank rows.
Re-import the file into Cloud Campaign.
Tip: Even adding a placeholder Caption (such as “TBD” or “Draft post”) will allow the import to complete successfully.
