As of April 15, 2024, Meta has deprecated the Facebook Groups API, which means:
- You can no longer publish directly to Facebook Groups via Cloud Campaign.
- Analytics for Groups are no longer collected.
- Historical data for previously linked Groups will still be available.
This change affects all third-party platforms.
Alternative Options
You still have two ways to publish to Facebook Groups:
1. Use Cloud Campaign’s Push Notification System
This sends you a reminder email when it's time to manually post your content in your Facebook Group.
Here’s how to set it up:
- Click the gear icon in the upper-left corner to access Brand Settings.
- Go to the Linked Accounts tab.
- Click Add New, then choose Facebook Groups
- Input the following:
- Group Name
- Group URL
- Email address where you'd like to receive the notifications.
Once complete, your linked Facebook Group will appear in your account like this:
2. Follow Meta’s Recommendation
Meta suggests migrating your Group to a Facebook Page if you want to continue scheduling and publishing content through third-party tools like Cloud Campaign.
