Proper Instagram and Facebook permission setup is key to ensuring successful post scheduling and avoiding errors like “Insufficient Permissions.” This guide walks you through all steps to connect your Instagram account correctly with Cloud Campaign.
Step 1: Use "Select All" When Linking Through Meta
When prompted to grant Meta permissions during the Instagram linking process:
- Go to your Brand Settings in Cloud Campaign.
- Click Add New → Instagram.
- When redirected to Meta, click Edit Access.
- If you don’t see the Edit Access screen, follow this guide to reset Meta permissions and start again from Step 1.
Note: Selecting All doesn’t link every account to Cloud Campaign. It simply ensures all permissions are granted. You’ll choose which Instagram account to link to the specific workspace in the final step.
Two Options From This Step:
- Option 1: If you see the account you want to connect → click Link Account and go to Step 3.
- Option 2: If the account is missing from the list → continue to Step 2.
Step 2: Confirm the Instagram–Facebook Page Connection
Make sure the Instagram account is properly linked to the correct Facebook Page:
- Open the Facebook Page tied to the brand.
- Click Settings in the left-hand menu.
- Scroll to the Instagram section
❌ If the Instagram account is not linked, complete the connection process here.
🚫 If you see a “Review Connection” button:
- The original creator of the page must complete the review.
- If that person is unavailable, follow this workaround guide to create a dummy Facebook Page and bypass the review.
Step 3: Reset Meta Business Permissions
-
Log into Your Personal Facebook Account
Make sure you're logged in as the personal Facebook account that has admin access to the Pages you're working with.
- Go to facebook.com
- Click your profile icon (top right)
- Select Settings & Privacy > Settings
2. Remove Cloud Campaign from Business Integrations
- In the left menu, scroll down and click Business Integrations
- Find Cloud Campaign in the list
- Click Remove, then confirm by clicking Remove again
3. Re-Link Your Accounts via Cloud Campaign
Once removed, do not manually re-add Cloud Campaign via Facebook.
Instead, return to Cloud Campaign and initiate the linking process from there (e.g., connecting a Facebook or Instagram account).
Pro Tips to Avoid Future Permission Errors
- Always keep the Instagram account as a Business Account.
- When linking or troubleshooting, don’t alter any “Select All” permissions previously granted.
- Do not disconnect the Instagram from its associated Facebook Page.
- Revisit this setup anytime you encounter permission-related errors.
